Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 6th Annual

Emerging Targets for Oncology & Beyond

Discover. Multiplex. Advance—Expanding the Target Landscape

May 11-12, 2027

With the antigen landscape crowding around established targets, this track is built for teams asking "what's next"—both in target discovery and biology. Sessions span AI- and computational-discovery platforms, the emerging discipline of target multiplexing and optimal target-pairing, and the checkpoint-axis combinations (PD-1/PD-L1 × VEGF) now defining the competitive frontier. It also explores next-generation targets moving beyond the field's most crowded antigen clusters—spanning tumor-stromal, intracellular, and repositioned targets for non-oncology indications, and evaluating their potential across therapeutic formats. For attendees in discovery and translational roles, this is where to find the target ideas and pairing logic that will shape the next generation of oncology pipelines.

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

  • AI-Powered & Computational Target Discovery
  • Target Multiplexing Selecting the Optimal Target Pairing
    • Does multiplexing actually provide a therapeutic advantage over two single-target agents?
    • Balancing potency, selectivity, developability and therapeutic window
    • Multi-antigen targeting to recruit T- and NK-cell effectors
    • Checkpoint-axis combination targeting (PD-1/PD-L1xVEGF or cytokine pathways)
  • Escaping Target Crowding: Emerging and Next-Generation Targets across Modalities
  • Emerging Strategies for Targeting Intracellular Cancer Antigens
  • Autoimmune & Non-Oncology Repositioned Targets

The deadline for priority consideration is October 23, 2026.

All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
